Last Saturday we headed to Leeds to go to Bass Pro. They were having some sort of kids expo thing...aka lots of free stuff for the kiddos to do! And we didn't know they were having it until we got there! What a great surprise!
Before we realized what was going on, we let Jacob play at the shooting range. Funny story: we put 50 cents into the machine, and couldn't for the life of us figure out why it kept starting over without us paying. So we played, and played, and played. Until Jacob got tired. Let me tell you, that's a lot of shooting because this kid loves that thing. Then, we grab this couple, explain to them the machine was broken and it wasn't making them pay and they could take over. We then realized when we got downstairs that it was FREE for the day. I bet we looked like a couple of idiots!
This is what the little guy did most of the day...
And OF COURSE we had to check out the fish! Jacob is obsessed (as I have mentioned before) with deer and fish. He is his father's son!
About this time was when we realized their was a kids day going on outside! So out we went for a fun craft...
And some sailboat races...
And finally some fishin'!
The poles had a rubber fish at the end of the line that you tried to ring these buckets with...
The lady there said only two people (one of which was a professional fisherman) had actually made the bucket all day. Well, if I can brag...Wayne made it not once, not twice, but THREE times! Maybe he should quit his day job??? Ha! He would love that!
After all that fun, we drove for almost an hour trying to find a park I was told about (the GPS was in the car, and not the Expedition!). After we finally gave up, we came home and enjoyed our back yard.
And totally UNRELATED to this post....
I AM ONE PROUD MOMMY!! My little man is growing up!
Potty training hasn't been the nightmare I was afraid it was going to be! He's so proud when he "pee pee's in the potty!"
And last, but not least, this little Bama boy has won over his mommy's heart a million times!
