Growing Up!

I don't think I ever mentioned on my blog that Jacob is now crawling...and into EVERYTHING! I can't imagine when he starts walking! A few days ago he FINALLY sat up on his on (funny that came after crawling), and then yesterday the little bugger pulled up to a standing position on his own! Hopefully I'll catch it soon for long enough for a video or at least a picture! :) It seems like just yesterday we were swaddling him, and today we're chasing him!!!

Camping and Sippy Cups

We went to Oak Mountain with our Sunday School class camping this past weekend. We had a blast! Here are a few pics from around the park and at the petting zoo! :)

When we got home, we thought we would let little man try out a sippy cup. We were very impressed! He grabbed it and immediately turned it up. He's still trying to learn that he is suppose to suck on it and not bite it! :)

Welcome Baby Evie!!!

Yesterday at about 3:45, Wayne calls me and says, "Get to the hospital! Christy is having a c-section at 4:15!" The baby's heart rate dropped, and she had to get here fast! My parents just happened to be on their way here, and I knew they would be here soon. (I didn't really want to take Jacob to the hospital if I could help it.) As soon as they got here, I rushed like a mad woman to the hospital. Christy was almost 4 weeks early, and we were all worried!
Not too much longer, and we welcomed baby Evie into this world! She is absolutely adorable! She weighed 3 pounds and 10 ounces! (Jacob was nearly three times her size!) Please keep Mom and baby in your prayers. As soon as they see her gaining weight consistently for a few days, they will let her come home! Everything so far is going good!
On a side note, we took Logan to get something to eat, and I asked what he thought about Evie. He started saying how "cute and little" she was. I said, "Jacob was never that little, was he?" His response? "No! Jacob is like baby Popeye!"

*When I saw Evie, I looked at Wayne with a huge smile on my face! (For those of you who do not know, he would try for another one tomorrow, but I'm not quite ready for that yet!) I just knew at that moment I wanted another one! Then, we went to see Christy. I changed my mind. C-sections are NO fun!

**Five posts in one day...I think I broke my record! I had a lot to share today!

Splish Splash...

I was taking a bubble bath! That's right, Jacob had his first bubble bath! I found this baby bubble bath that was fragrance and tear free, and he LOVED it!

Church Softball

It's that time of year again, and we love it! Wayne loves to play softball with the church, and I love sitting and talking with all the women while our men play. It's even more fun this year because all of us who were pregnant last year have sweet children there with us! What a blast! Here's a couple of pics from the first game of the season!

All the kids love Junior!

That's my man on first base! :)

Jacob loves Ash, and I think the feeling is mutual!

So, for the rest of the season....On Monday nights, Thursday nights, and yes, sometimes Friday nights, if you want to find us....come to the fields!

Bragging Rights

My husband is the best! Although, now they are droopy, these flowers are still so pretty! He gave them to me "because Jacob told him to." So sweet! Thanks honey!

Evie's Coming!

I hosted Christy a baby shower at my house this past weekend. We are so ready for this little angel to get here! I'm so excited to have a baby girl to buy for! Here are some pics from the day...

My kitchen looks a little different, huh? Updated pics of the house coming soon!A friend of mine, Heather Williams, did the cake. She is so talented!Christy got lots of cute things for little Evie!Jacob was not too impressed with all the girlie stuff....thank goodness! He just wanted in all the paper! After everyone left, Papa helped him stand, and he held it forever on his own! He's getting so big!

After all this excitement, Grandmollie and Papa kept little man so Wayne and I could go on a real date! I was so excited, like a little school girl! We had SO much fun just the two of us! Every marriage needs a little time away!

Busy, Busy Easter Weekend

If I have enough time before little man wakes up, this is going to be a long one with lots of pictures! Please bare with me, we had a very busy weekend!

On Friday, I had my scrapbooking get together again, and we had a blast as always! I look forward to this night all month long! Wayne had a bunch of the guys come over to our house while the girlies had their night. We all had so much fun!

On Saturday, Wayne's crazy self decided to get up at 4:00 A.M. to go fishing! (I told him that I like to shop, but there was no way I would get up at 4 in the morning to go shopping!) Then, as soon as he got back, he had to rush to get ready to go to his sister's baby shower. We're going to have a little niece very soon! Possibly next week!!! Here's Christy at the shower....with our gifts to her. (We have her a ton more, but she's getting them this weekend at a shower at our house.)
We also got to meet Wayne's new baby cousin, Tyson. He was adorable! And, I'll have to admit, after holding him, I had an itch for another one. Don't worry, it went away FAST! :)
(Notice the short and sassy hair cut?) We also got a couple of pics with Jacob and his cousins....
Look at how much bigger he is! I can't believe my baby is 7 MONTHS OLD! Here's a couple more cousins....And, Jacob got to meet Wayne's cousin Richard and his wife Terry for the first time (Along with this busy weekend, I managed to get a very mini shoot of them. I will try to get them on the photog blog today.)
After all this fun, we had to go to birthday party! (HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASH!!!) Grandmollie begged to keep Jacob, so we caved! It was weird him not being with us out to eat! After eating, we got him back and everyone came to our house. Here's a few pics from the night, starting with Jacob (AKA "Lil Dude") and the birthday girl! Then, guess what happened Easter morning! The Easter Bunny came!!! He even took the treats we left him! ;)
Then, it was off to church, where Wayne and I had nursery duty! (of all days!) :) After church, we snapped a quick family pic, and then a group shot with only part of our wonderful Sunday School class!
And, finally, we were off to Mammaw's, and later on that day to Wayne's Nana's!
Well, I warned you it was going to be forever long! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

For Easter, THANK YOU JESUS!!!

I have a hard time commercializing Easter. Yes, we do some of the fun things. Like, Jacob had his first Easter egg hunt...

Jacob was far more interested in the grass in his pale than he was at the kids running around looking for Easter eggs!

Dada was so upset that he missed Jacob's first hunt. Unfortunately, he had to work!

We even like to do Easter cards....(For those of you who are upset that you didn't get one...don't be. Nobody did! When I had them printed, they were printed crooked and there was no time to try again!)

BUT, MY FRIENDS, THIS IS WHAT EASTER IS ALL ABOUT....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7-5gUgZjkg

Please take a minute to watch this. I couldn't get it to post for some reason, but it is phenomynal! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU JESUS! They showed this at church last night, and I wanted to share it with you. May you have a blessed Easter.

Our First Camp

We got to test our camper out this weekend, and we had a blast!
We invited Grandmollie and Papa to go with us, and I think we all had a good time. I can't wait to go back. We went to Birchfield on Warrior River, and it was beautiful! You really are "in the sticks" at this place! I highly recommend it to anyone who loves to camp. It's right on the river, and there is a beautiful creek that runs through the campground.
Not only was it Jacob's first time camping, he experienced lots of firsts this trip! For example: bubbles, sunscreen, bug spray, sliding, swinging, sand, a boat ride (more like an idle; it made Mama nervous! We just went around a little circle, and he got off. We never even took off!), fire, and many more! Hope you enjoy our pictures! Oh, and did I mention....HE SAID "MAMA!!!!"?

I'll end with Dada and Papa's pride! They caught over 20 fish on Saturday! They had a blast!
