Last Monday, we FINALLY made our way to Lowe's to get our Christmas tree. We have truly been the "Scrooge" family on our block because we have been the last to decorate this year (and we didn't do near as much this year as we have in the past!), and we are usually the first! We have plenty excuses though, from being out of town to 8 weeks of sickness in our household! *Which, by the way, Jacob lungs AND ears were clear for the very first time in 8 weeks last Friday! Praise the Lord!!!* So, anyway, we were on our way to Lowe's after grabbing Jacob's favorite quick meal (Milo's), and he was so excited!! Can't you tell?
When we got there, he ran through all of the trees like a mad man! Wayne stayed on top of him while I tried to find the perfect tree for this year! It was hysterical, and there was no doubt he had a blast!
When we got back home, we spread everything out in the living room so we could bring the tree through the front door, and we pulled out the Alabama Christmas CD. In my opinion, it's not Christmas until you've listened to Alabama and watched White Christmas! Obviously, Jacob felt the same way, because he was anxiously helping me get the CD out! :)
And then he decided to dance a little. Every time I would get the video camera out, he would quit and take off after me with the camera. This kid loves electronics better than any toy they could make!
When Daddy finally got the tree in, our lil man was a huge help! He was trying to help Daddy make sure it was perfectly center!
Then, Daddy had to bring in the ladder to get in the attic. We thought we had more decor up there, but we didn't. Oh well, lil man found another toy to play with for the night. ;)
When the lights came out, this lil dude squealed with delight. But of course, I don't think I've ever seen a kiddo that didn't like Christmas lights.
Unfortunately, we had a break down when we learned that you couldn't throw the "balls" that go on the tree.
About 2.3 seconds later, literally, he was over it.
It literally took us two and a half nights to get our tree up (hence the reason we didn't do as much this year!)
And now, most of the ornaments are making there way to the top to avoid disaster! :) Merry CHRISTmas!!!!
