Well, enough of that! As most of you know, it has been a horrible month of health for this family! We've delt with an ear infection, double ear infection, croup, swine flu, stomach bug x 3, swine flu, and scheduling for Jacob's tubes. (I'm sure there is more, but you get the picture!) But, that didn't slow us down, too bad, for Halloween! Although, we didn't make it to the pumpkin patch this year! We tried THREE times, and all three times we faced rain or sickness or both! I guess there is always next year!
Our first Halloween celebration was at PDO. It was a lot of fun, and a lot of work! I got to trade in my 4 year old class....
....with some fun with this guy! (I love the smile one his face in this picture! I'm still amazed at how absolutely PRECIOUS this kid is!)
And let me tell you, the entire group of four year olds don't hold a candle to this guy. I was absolutely worn out between having too much fun, and pitching too many fits!
Here he is with his teacher, Mrs. Becky, on the right. She takes such great care of my buddy when we're there on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The lady on the left is Mrs. Janice. She will be our teacher next year. :)
Then, on Friday night, we headed to Tannehill. We started a tradition last year to go and check out all the campers' decorations. It's insane the amount of time and money these people put into Halloween decorations! Tannehill now has Bob Sykes BBQ, and we decided to eat there before we took our stroll (plus it gave the rain some time to calm down).
They were so busy, there wasn't a highchair in sight. Oh well, we made do. And little man wasn't upset one bit. He just enjoyed the TV right above our head!
Then, the rain calmed (or so it seamed), and we headed out! Jacob was so amazed at all the decorations!
And for a kid that LOVES water any way he can get it....he wasn't impressed when the rain came back down!
So, we headed back to the car so we could drive the rest of the way through!
Then, in the middle of the night Friday, I started feeling horrible! With Wayne having just gotten over the swine flu, I knew what it was. I was at the doc in the box as soon as they opened! And sure enough, my Halloween plans were ruined! Wayne was a trooper though. We all rode to the church (I stayed in the car, but I couldn't completely miss it!), and Wayne let Jacob have some fun at the Trunk or Treat. I'm so thankful to have a husband that cares so much (and one that is mighty good lookin' if I do say so myself!)!
I asked him to take lots of pics! Here's a couple that he came back to the car with...
Then, we ended our fun with going to see Gran and Papa. They always seem to have a little something for Jacob, not matter what the occassion!
Now, my baby has been away from me for TWO nights! We're doing everything we can to keep him from getting sick, but I sure am ready to meet Nana and Pappy to get him back tonight! Hope everyone had a blast this Halloween!
