Right Now....

I'm listening to my angel scream his lungs out.

Let me explain. When his ears are bad, he sleeps with us. It's the only way he will sleep. So, since he's had ear infections for a month, he has slept with us. Then, he falls off the bed and gets what the doctor thought was a minor concussion (CT scan didn't show anything). So, in refusing to risk this happening again, Wayne and I are determined to get him back in his bed. And of course, what does everyone tell us to do? Let him cry it out. I've never been able to do this. I've actually tried it a couple of times and failed miserably. In the past there has been no point in "letting him cry," not when I could get him and rock him back to sleep. That's not working this time. He literally wakes up EVERY - TIME - I - LAY - HIM - DOWN!!!! So, this time I have a reason that I can justify letting him cry. If only I can make it. So far, it's been about ten minutes!

Jacob and Josh's hat

Here is a pic from our weekend that my mom took of our pumpkin playing with Uncle Josh's hat. More to come on that later. I've got a lot on my plate right now. Did I mention Wayne has swine flu???

*UPDATE* We suffered through about twenty five minutes of crying. Now, I can say I'm glad we did. He has spent the past two nights in his bed, and his naps have been in his bed. And.....he hasn't cried since!!! I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they are hatched, but so far so good!
