Happenings

Over the last week we have been super busy! Grant had his one month check up last Monday (he was 11 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches long. He hasn't grown at all in height, but he's still in the 75% in both. Dr. Walley said he should be due for a length growth. :) ), and bless him he cried terribly bad when he got a shot. I didn't think I would ever be able to calm him down. Broke this Mama's heart! We are still dealing with the dreaded colic. Colic. I hate it! Both of my sweet babies had to deal with it. Unfortunately this go around nothing seems to be helping. I bought a Happi Tummi today with hopes that it helps. So far no such luck. Bless him. He's also been congested for weeks. That's bad since he's only 6 weeks old. He's been congested most of his life. I bought this in hopes that it would help. I have mixed feelings about the aspirator. Sometimes I think it works better, and sometimes I don't. On a positive note, we have been diaper rash free for about a week now! Poor thing. He dealt with a diaper rash on top of all this for the first 4 weeks of his life! It literally showed up the night he was born. We are on the mend now. I feel certain of it!

Thursday night my sister and brother both came into town to see us! It was WONDERFUL getting to spend time with them! When I'm away from my family, I miss them so much!

Friday night before Bubba had to head home, Wayne, my brother, Jacob and Wayne's dad went fishing. Dana and I ran some errands and had some fun sister time along with Grant. Here is a picture Daddy sent me of our sweet boy! He loves everything outdoors. He is just like his daddy.

Saturday morning my sister had to head out to make it back to work, and my beloved husband went to Cottontails with me! We really did have a good time as a family. Many people we knew stopped and commented on how sweet it was for Wayne to be there with me (if you aren't familiar with Cottontails, it's not exactly something for men) :). And I agree. Here is Jacob with his fish and pole balloon. Again, with Wayne's phone...

Sunday morning we were FINALLY at the six week mark and could head to church. What a wonderful feeling that was for our entire family to be in church together!

Then we headed to Gran and Papa's where we spent Sunday afternoon and got a picture of their FIVE grandchildren! :)

I snapped a couple pics today. This is the only time this little guy is not crying. Really. It's pitiful.

And here is my big boy after eating extremely healthy white powdered doughnuts! (Although when you ask him if he's a baby or a big boy, he says, "Nope. I a Jajob!" Too Precious!) Bless him. We've really had to crack down hard with discipline lately. It was just to the point to where he was getting away with too much. Needless to say, it was a hard week, but it definitely payed off! I feel like I have my little angel back! I pray I'm not saying that too soon. Anyway, I took this picture right after his cars got out of "time out." :)

Happy Monday!
