BABY Update! :-)

We're going to weekly appointments now, and sweet Grant is growing like a weed! Last Wednesday, 4 weeks before my due date, the ultra sound showed him weighing in at nearly EIGHT pounds!!! Holy cow! Keep growing baby boy, keep growing. Daddy and I have a bet, and I think he's just trying to make sure Mommy wins! :) Jacob was 9 pounds 7 ounces, and the doctor told us that Grant would probably be about the same size Jacob was. So we figured that in, plus me having him a week early, and made a friendly bet over his size. I said 9 lbs 2 oz, and Wayne said 8 lbs 14 oz. Well, if the ultra sound is any indicator, I think Mommy might win that bet. And Daddy will be doing double diaper duty for an entire day! :-) Oh, the things that parents think are funny!

They also flipped the US to 4D (when we had Jacob we payed to have this done, but they don't give you that option anymore - something to do with getting in trouble with insurance companies for doing that - so, we had to wait until we had one scheduled for them to show us a quick peep). With us being so far along, I couldn't tell too much of anything, but Wayne swears he looks just like Jacob. I would be totally ok with that! One thing is for sure, he has Jacob's chubby cheeks!

And finally the date is set. January 21st (2 1/2 weeks!!!!) we will welcome this precious baby boy into this world. I absolutely cannot wait. I really can't wait for Jacob to meet him. He has said up until now that he wanted to bring him home, etc, but this week when we ask if he's ready for Grant to come home he says, "Uhhhhhh. No." And he's really not happy about the idea of sharing Daddy with him! ;) This could prove to be quite interesting!

By the way, the to do list is almost done! Praise the Lord! Nursery is complete except for the curtains. They should be in the mail shortly, and then I'm running straight to have them monogrammed. I cannot wait to show you both of our boy's rooms!
