Catch All

This post is going to be a catch all post. I just don't have the time to do them all individually, and you would probably be bored to death if I did a separate post for all of this! ;)

First of all, Jacob is ALL BOY! I was talking to the nurse at the doctor's office today about how amazing it is that boys just enjoy boy stuff. He's loved a ball of any kind since he was tiny, and he loves any kind of trucks/boats/motorcycles! And even more evidence that he is all boy, I hear this phrase more times than I would care to admit in one day, "Mama, I poot." I have NO CLUE as to where he learned that, but he thinks it's funny every single time! Never in a million years did I think I would be dealing with that at the age of two! I have to admit, it's pretty funny. Another thing he's saying a lot lately is, "Hey, that mean!" Yet again, I have no clue where he learned that from. He says this a lot too. Especially when he's in trouble or not getting his way. A sweet thing he says is "bless you" after he hears anyone cough or sneeze, and he will be the first to ask if "u ok?" if he thinks something is wrong with you!

I must admit, although two can be terrible, it's my favorite stage yet! (I say that each time he moves to a different stage!) He's communicating so much with us, and he has such a caring and tender heart....when he's not into mischief! Speaking of mischief, we have tried a million things over the last several months for discipline. We always felt like nothing we tried worked. He is a very strong willed child! Now that he's a little older, we started trying time out again, and you would not believe how well this works! He cries if you threaten to put him in time out! FINALLY! Something that actually gets to him! :) Two has also brought a better eater out in my little man. I hesitate to say that because now he probably won't eat a thing tomorrow, but the last several weeks he hasn't been near as picky! PTL! And he still loves milk. I'm lucky if I get him to drink something once a day that's not milk! I would prefer that though instead of him not liking milk!

We had a doctor's appointment today. (I passed the sugar test!) While we were listening to the heart beat, it went from like 140 to 10. Literally. Before Wayne and I could panic too bad, Dr. Gleason assured us that babies do that all the time. Shew! I'm measuring about a week ahead of schedule, which is nothing. I was two weeks ahead the entire time with Jacob! And I've gained more weight than I care to admit. Oh well, these little angels are worth every pound! Wayne and I still remind each other constantly that we are having another baby in January! It seems so unreal, even with a to do list a mile long. It's going by so fast! We are about to be two extremely tired parents! Not to mention paranoid! I'm so worried about Jacob being too rough with him! I'm sure all will be fine though. He loves babies! And as for how many we will have??? We've been asked that a lot lately! We don't know. As of right now, a family of four seems perfect. Who knows what we will feel 4 years from now! And no, I do not feel the need to "try for a girl." I've said since day one that I would be happy with all boys!

Both boys' rooms are coming along. We are so close to finishing the toy box (we are redoing one my dad made me as a child) for Jacob's room, and then we can officially move on to Grant's. I have been buying up some things though. We decided to use the same nursery bedding (after Grandmollie bought new bedding -that I picked out- for the little fella), but the room will be quite different. :) I just didn't like one way more than the other to justify keeping it. So, I'm just changing everything else up!

One last little side note. My sister's wedding is in less than a month. I absolutely cannot believe it! I'm so excited for them. Don't worry, we will be easily distinguished in the pictures. I will be the 7 1/2 month pregnant girl, Jacob will be the adorable little guy in the tux, and Wayne will be the one in the front praying our child doesn't act up! :)

Now, for one last video. I love Dancing With the Stars, and lil man really likes it too. Every time it comes on he says, "I wanna dance!" So, here you go. I tried to get him to quack like a duck at the end. I forgot it in the last video, and he does a really cute thing with his hands. I'm afraid you probably can't tell much though. And yes, I'm aware that our living room looks like a toy store. We were playing! :)
