March Fun, Prayer And A Blog

Remember when we set our new year's resolution to do something fun and different as a family every month in 2010?? Well, unless you count visiting Wayne's grandad (who is doing better) at the hospital, we broke that resolution in February. Sad, I know. In our defense, we have been extra attentive to having lots of play and family time at home! It has honestly been the best month! We did pick back up in March though. Saturday after Jacob's pictures, we planned to take him to McDonald's and let him play in their play area. I have read some horrible articles about play areas and the things they find in the balls (like dirty needles), so I have always stayed clear! A friend of mine recently informed me that the one in McCalla didn't have balls, so I was all game! Well, we got there and they had a birthday party going on and we hated to butt in. So, we went across the street to Pleasant Hill United Meth Church (where we use to go to mom's day out) and played until it was dark on their play ground! Boy did we have a blast. I don't know who had more fun, my big boy or the little one! :)

I hate to jump around subjects in this post, but I'm short on time, and I don't have time to do them all separately. So here goes... Please pray for the Nelson family. Wayne grew up with David, and he was recently diagnosed with lymphoma...on the same day his wife found out she was pregnant with their third child. I honestly have only met him once, but I know that his family would greatly appreciate the prayers. From what I have read, their faith is unshakable!

Speaking of unshakable faith. Please check out this post. I would not put it on here if it was not one of the most incredible things I have ever read. Many of you might have already read it. I saw it on numerous blogs before I read it, and I wish I had of read it with the first. This is a girl (I think it said she is twenty) who gave up her life in the states, went into the mission field of Uganda and adopted 14 children!!! And from what I read, that number is constantly changing. It's phenomenal and very inspirational. Please check it out.

And last but not least, it is really spring. And this was past due.
