An Update On Our Angel

To start things off, check out this picture of our little man we were playing with in class...
I'm undecided about it, my mom loves it, and Wayne thinks it looks creepy. :)

This little guy is getting more and more active every day! He wants to crawl so bad he can't stand it, and he's reaching for everything in sight! It seems like just yesterday we were coming home from the hospital, and now he's 6 months old! For you moms-to-be out there, brace yourself. It goes FAST!

He is starting to want to talk. Wayne and I are getting a kick out of this. He discovered about 2 months ago that he had vocals, and since then he's ALWAYS saying, "Ahhhhhhhhh! Ahhhhhhh!" Everyone gets a kick out of this! Well, yesterday, his ahhh's turned into ba ba ba ba. It's hilarious! Wayne's trying to get him to say, "Ma ma ma ma", and I'm working on "Da da da da." I know it's a little backwards, but no such luck on either one yet.

I realized when we were going to the doctor for his 6 month check up that I have never taken his picture at Dr. Walley's office. So, here are a few from this check up. (I'll have to be better at this with the next one I guess.)

Look at that flirty face!

He was 27 3/4 inches long!

And he weighed 19 pounds and 2 ounces!

He has finally starting to slow down in his growth. At his 4 month check up he was off the charts, and this time he was between the 90th and 95th percentile. This is a good thing. At the rate he was going, he would be wearing a 2T by the time he was a year old! Please keep this little man in your prayers. We are having some difficulty with his circumcision. (Sorry if this is too much info for some of you, but don't worry. I won't give details.) It's nothing the doctor did wrong, or us for that matter. It all boils down to the fact that he is a big baby and gravity pulls. Luckily, we won't have to have it done again, but this is not a fun process. By the way, if anyone is looking for a phenomenal pediatrician, Dr. Walley with Redmont Pediatrics at St. Vincent's is your man! He is WONDERFUL! I have sent several people to him, and everyone loves him!

In the meantime, we have managed to get a big family car (an Expedition). We are enjoying not being so cramped! And, I'm about to learn to sew. I have a friend willing to teach me, and I can't wait to learn to make little Jon Jons! His first one will be a hounds tooth one! And finally, we both really enjoyed the Parents Day Out program. I see him throughout the four hours of us being there, I'm working with some precious children, and he LOVES the kids in his room. He watches one little guy very intently that crawls. You can tell his mind is just a going on how to do that!

That's all for now! Hope all is good with everyone!

I'm learning how to sew too! I got a sewing machine a few months back, and mom has been teaching me. I figure it will save lots of money on baby clothes!
