TAGGED

Thanks Natalie for tagging me. Now, 10 random things about myself. For those of you on facebook, sorry if you've already read some of this. I mean, seriously, I'm not that random!

1. I love Jesus. Because of this love for Jesus, we attend the most INCREDIBLE church anyone could ask for! Valley Creek is absolutely phenomenal! I don't know what I would do without all of my dear friends I have met through this church. Honestly, 90% of my friends go to church with me! How lucky am I?? :)

2. God has blessed me with so many friends, especially since I moved to the Birmingham area! There are so many sweet women out there that I know that I can call in a time of need. We also have some fun lovin' couples that we LOVE to do stuff with! We even have some of the best neighbors. We are truly blessed with so many people that we are crazy about!

3. I had a horrible delivery. (I know, some of you have read this a few times now, but seriously, this is pretty random. I just like to announce whenever possible that I lived through it!) So, here goes....I was induced, in labor for 12 hours, pushed an hour, my blood pressure dropped drastically, they had to turn my epidural OFF, pushed another hour, made no progress, rushed to cesarean, epidural turned back on, felt the doctor cut me open (epidural didn't work, and let me tell you, my stomach was on FIRE!), was knocked out, Jacob was born at 6:28 P.M., and finally I was consciously aware that I had a son at 7:50 P.M. ....this is my "war story." Now, if that happened to you, wouldn't you share it? Because of this, I am terrified of something I want so badly...more children! Although, my doctor told me that it had not happened to one of his patients in 5 years before me, and he's never had the same thing happen twice. Next time, we'll just do a spinal.

4. I am CRAZY about my husband and son! Wayne is awesome! Not only does he work so hard for me to be able to stay at home, he WANTS me to stay at home! He is so supportive of everything I do. I can honestly say he is my very best friend. I don't know what I would do without him. Jacob has got to be the biggest blessing we could have ever asked for. He was totally worth everything in #3.

5. I am very particular about Jacob. Period. End of sentence. :) From what goes in his mouth, to what he wears. He has soft, cotton clothes for at home, and he never goes in public without looking adorable. Which, if I say so myself, is not hard with him. Have you seen him lately? ADORABLE! :)

6. Wayne and I are very close to our families. We talk to them every day. I do not know what we would do without them.

7. I have a younger sister and brother. I have always been the motherly type to them. I do not know how to change this, and believe me I would if I could. I worry about them more than I should.

8. When I was prego, I prayed for a big baby so I could have an excuse for being so big....I think 9 pounds 7 ounces is in the "big baby" category. Because of them having to put me in another world, Wayne said I asked him several times how big Jacob was. He would then say, "9 pounds..." I would always interrupt with, "9 POUNDS!" Boy, am I glad I did not know I had nearly a ten pound baby in my belly. I really would have been scared!

9. Like Natalie, I have always been a planner. This drives me crazy! And probably Wayne too if I am honest. I wish I could say that once you are married, have a house and a baby that it stops, but it doesn't. You just start wondering, when will the next child come, and where are we going to live, and where will our kids go to school. When we are older it will probably be wondering about retirement, etc. Get the picture? It's quite annoying. Natalie also uses the same exact verse I use in this situation, Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Ahhh! One of my favorites!

10. I can only blog when Jacob is asleep, and now he's waking up! I tag Angie, Sherri, Shea and Michelle!
