My Sweet Valentines on Valentine's

I'm not real big on Valentine's Day. I would much rather Wayne surprise me with something sweet on a random day, rather than a day that he feels like he "has to." So, we decided to make the day a family day this year. We went to Tannehill State Park, and had a blast! We took pictures (no surprise), and strolled along a trail. It was so pleasant. Even if someone needed to reach us, they couldn't. We didn't have cell phone service where we were. Ahhhh! It was so nice! We don't have enough days that we spend just the three of us.
Jacob had a couple of firsts this day... (Let me put a disclaimer out there: Since he's been old enough to get out and about, it's been too cold!)
He touched grass for the first time! He was fascinated with the grass, and then I remembered my kid had never touched this stuff before! Of course, he then wanted to eat it. Later, we saw some rocks, and we let him touch them for the first time too! I know, my kid is deprived. I hear it all the time. BUT, this day he got really dirty! We had so much fun, even if I was frustrated with my camera...that's another story. :)

Later that day, Wayne informed me that he wanted to cook us dinner! I was so excited! There was no way I was going to turn it down! We had a candlelit steak dinner. It was very nice. We also got Jacob a doorway jumper for Valentine's Day. I'm sure you will be seeing pictures of it soon. He hasn't quite figured it out yet!

I hope everyone had as wonderful of a weekend as we did!

layla had a jumper that was just on a stand that we kept at home...she didn't get it at first either, but she grew to absolutely love it!!! after a while she would go crazy. she still loves to jump up and down on anything she can bounce on...which now has turned into her crib and our bed. :)
